Could Psilo-Shakes Have a Future Role in Fibromyalgia Support?
Psychedelic research has traditionally focused on depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Researchers are now exploring whether psilocybin-assisted interventions may also be relevant to chronic-pain conditions such as fibromyalgia.
Psilo-Shakes is a psilocybin-containing protein-shake formulation being considered for a private wellness study by CBD International World Clinic (C.I.W.C.) for structured fibromyalgia research. It has not been specifically evaluated in clinical trials and is not a proven treatment yet.
Early Evidence
A small exploratory study and several case reports involving psilocybin-assisted treatment reported improvements in some participants in:
- Pain severity
• Pain interference with daily life
• Sleep disturbance
Why It Is Being Studied
Fibromyalgia may involve altered pain processing, disrupted sleep, emotional distress, hypervigilance, and reinforced pain-related brain patterns. Psilocybin is converted into psilocin, which acts on serotonin receptors, including 5-HT2A receptors, and may temporarily increase neural flexibility.
Studies will focus on that, with supportive therapy, this period of increased neuroplasticity could make rigid associations involving pain, fear, helplessness, and distress more changeable. Possible anti-inflammatory and immune-modulating effects have also been observed in laboratory research.
C.I.W.C. intends to commence a secondary private wellness study on September 1, 2026, and is currently recruiting eligible adults living with fibromyalgia. The study will evaluate the feasibility, tolerability, safety, and potential effects of daily microdosed Psilo-Shakes on pain, sleep, fatigue, and daily function. The protocol is designed to use a low-dose formulation intended to minimize noticeable psychoactive effects while assessing whether participants experience measurable benefits, to participate in this study complete this form:

Until controlled research is completed, Psilo-Shakes should be regarded as investigational and should not replace prescribed medication, medical care, or established fibromyalgia treatment. #PsiloShakes #Fibromyalgia #ChronicPain #PsilocybinResearch #Neuroplasticity #PainResearch #BeyondConventionalCare
